Wizard of OZ (Musical): Sunday 20th to Saturday 27th October 2019
My roles for both of these productions was lighting technician. This involved helping with rigging up the lights and taking them down after the show. In both cases, I had to carry heavy lights up ladders in order to attach them to the house rig above the stage. Health and Safety rules were followed as someone was at the bottom of the ladder ensuring it was stable at all times. Another responsibility was to secure the cables attached to the lights with tape to ensure they were out of the way and could not cause danger to the cast or crew or be seen by the audience. Another role I undertook was the follow spot which involved controlling one of the spotlights to highlight certain characters and dance numbers. During the performances of Cinderella, I also co-filmed two of the nights and edited them so the cast and crew could have mementos of the shows.
